Shamwari’s flagship was built to be luxurious but the common areas feel rather hotel-like; it’s in a craggy ravine in the hilly north of the reserve.

A tented camp is unusual for this area, luxuriously appoimted and some have plunge pools. Shamwari does a gentle safari experience – tents may make it feel more real.
